Who We Are?

Rafizi Ramli is the Editor and Publisher of ACIES.MY Malaysia Political Report. Rafizi was a Member of Parliament of Malaysia for Pandan, Selangor, Vice-President and former Secretary-General of People’s Justice Party (PKR).He is a first class honours in Bachelor of Electrical Engineering graduate at University of Leeds in 1999.
Upon graduating, he started his career with Jeffreys Henry Chartered Accountants in London and at the same time, he took professional papers of Institute Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (‘ICAEW’) and was qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He became a Fellow of Chartered Accountant (‘FCA’) of ICAEW in 2002. Upon returning to Malaysia in 2003, he became a member of Malaysia Institute of Accountants.
In 2003, he joined PETRONAS Berhad as Manager of PDH Financial Accounting and became the youngest appointed Manager. In 2005, he arose to become Head of Business Planning and Operational Performance for Petrochemical Business Unit.
In 2009, he was appointed as Head of Group Budget, Accounts and Tax for PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd on International Upstream Group.
Prior to joining politics, he was appointed as General Manager in Pharmaniaga Berhad and he became Chief Financial Officer for 4 units within Pharmaniaga Group of Companies.
He left corporate world in December 2009 to join Selangor State Government as Chief Executive Officer in department of Selangor Economic Advisory Officer.
He becomes a politician and Member of Parliament of Malaysia in June 2013 until now.
